I like these tires alot. They are working great on snow and Ice conditions in Seattle during the December storm of 2008. After changing the stock Wranglers on my 2008 EX Honda Element. I could go everywhere except 42 degree angled driveway covered in snow and Ice. Braking and acceleration greatly improved with the Wintercats. There was some lateral sliding when I applied power around hard turns but otherwise a great handling tire on snow covered highways. I would say 90% of the traction was attributed to the new snow tires than to my AWD system.
Pluses: Quiet ride, great linear traction, confidence inspiring on steep icy roads and deep snow.
Minuses: unknown reliability, lateral instability at high speeds.
