Nexen ROADIAN HT SUV 235 70R16 I have this tire for one week and have put about 800 miles.
I was on a trip to Michigan. I bought the four tires in Ohio, because of a flat tire that could not be repaired. When I first braked the car in the parking lot. It stopped the car right away meaning found short braking. When I drove to Michigan, highway roads were dry and the traction was perfect. Drove over 80 mph for a short period, tires looked good and did not notice much noise. Initial for first thirty miles there was some noise but went away later.
However, later that evening there were wet surfaces in Detroit metro area. While other cars were passing me comfortably, I could not dirve faster than 60 miles per hour. It seemed like, I was floating on the ice. On accelaration car rear end would sway to the right. Even the front tires did not seem holding the surface either.
I had too much trouble driving on the wet surfaces.
I balanced tire pressure in all four tires and reduced the tire pressure, however, that did not give me the traction I expected during the rain. Fishtailing still persisted. Not sure what to do with these tires. The tires are mounted on Mercury Mountaineer 2004 with 53000 miles on the car.
I could be wrong but looking at the top of the tire, It seems like tire surface curves at recommended tire pressure of 35psi, rather than stay flat and whole tire surface hug the ground.
Do not know have much experience with snow, ice and mud. However picking moderate to allow website to let me add the reviews.
Pluses: Excellent on dry surface. Minuses: horrible on wet surfaces over 60 mph, feels driving on ice. fine at lower speed
